Case Study #1: Achieve Giving Day Success
Background
A small private school in Philadelphia had been running a month-long giving campaign for a few years. Their dollars raised had stagnated and their constituents were not responding.
The Goal
We were tasked with increasing dollars raised while engaging constituents and bringing back an energy that had been lost over the years.
The Strategy
We engineered a strategic shift to a single giving day. This created a sense of urgency with constituents. We also changed the messaging from one of need to that of school pride and a celebration of the community. We would appeal to donors’ identity, sense of self and their connections to the school.
The Result
Unprecedented success. In a mere day, they raised over $88,000, greatly exceeding the prior years monthly total of $16,000.

Background
A school in New York with a strong annual giving program was beginning a capital campaign building project.
The Goal
Create an integrated annual giving campaign that would maintain the current level of annual giving over the course of the capital campaign.
The Strategy
We created appeals highlighting the importance of annual giving as it directly related to the success of the campaign. We leaned into transparency, shared financial figures of the capital project and highlighted how annual giving factored into current and future plans.
The Result
The school exceeded the annual fund goal by 18 percent during the first year of the campaign.

We partnered with a large preK through 12th-grade school on a unique fundraising endeavor – a segmented campaign within their annual fund, aimed at parents of graduating seniors.
The Goal
Create a strategy that could be implemented year over year to achieve high participation despite competing financial demands on constituents.
The Strategy
We employed a multifaceted approach including events with an educational emphasis, personalized email outreach, tailored direct mail appeals, volunteers for peer to peer solicitations and a phone-a-thon.
The Result
Incredible success! Every targeted constituent made a meaningful gift. The school continues to implement our strategies, consistently achieving participation rates of 94% and above for each term.
